Making Space for Student Life: George Brown College Casa Loma Student Centre 

At George Brown College’s Casa Loma Campus, better planning released 32,000 square feet towards the creation of flexible, student-centred space. ACi reduced the administrative footprint to two-thirds of its former size, then used the recovered space for study, food, events, support, and social life.

Open and private settings let students work together or find quiet cozy, intimate settings. Support services, including a food bank, are woven into the plan. The project, like many in ACi’s portfolio, was centred on converting underused area to student focused, community spaces.
