From Learning to Practice: Patient Care Laboratories, Ontario Tech University

Ontario Tech University’s Patient Care and Nursing Simulation Laboratories help students turn knowledge into judgement. The 10,700-square-foot facility sits within Shawenjigewining Hall and gives nursing students a safe place to practise before entering clinical care.

Programmable manikins reproduce a wide range of health conditions. Purpose-built rooms support realistic scenarios, careful observation, and useful feedback. Students can test their skills, make decisions, and build confidence through experience.
