Teaching Through Innovation: Fanshawe College Innovation Hub

Innovation grows when people and disciplines, particularly disparate disciplines, meet. For Fanshawe College, we worked with Educational Consulting Services and a broad group of stakeholders to turn an institutional ambition into a plan for an Innovation Hub.

The proposal is organised around “collision spaces”: flexible, informal places that make chance encounters more likely. Maker spaces, research areas, AR/VR and media facilities, galleries, studios, and social spaces form one connected network. The study gives Fanshawe more than a list of rooms, it offers a practical framework for turning existing facilities into a place for exchange, experimentation, and collaboration.
