More Than a Place to Play: Campus High-Performance Centre 

The Campus High-Performance Centre will bring varsity sport, recreation, wellness, and student life together on the shared North Oshawa campus of Ontario Tech University and Durham College. Purpose-built varsity basketball and volleyball facilities sit alongside spectator amenities, food, social space, with room for future partnerships. 

The project treats sport as part of campus life, not an event apart from it. Fan zones, digital experiences, and flexible places to eat, meet and gather extend activity beyond the court. A high-performance envelope, potential solar generation, efficient systems, inclusive seating and barrier-free design address the building’s long-term performance. The Campus High Performance Centre will be one of a network of spaces on the growing North Oshawa Campus that add layers of belonging and community to students’ experience.
